10 Video Game Weapons You're A Dick For Using

7. Splat Roller - Splatoon

Nintendo's approach to competitive online multiplayer was always going to deviate from the tried and tested formula of Call of Duty or Battlefield.

Instead of defeating your enemies by racking up kills, Splatoon's path to victory was more about zone control, as the winner is the team who covers the map with their ink the most. There are a range of weapons to achieve such results, all of which are as effective as each other.

The splat roller is a fan favourite, with each team often consisting of at least one in their ranks. While it definitely offers diversity of weaponry, there's no denying that the skill needed to operate the roller is minimal, so when you're flattened by one it's beyond annoying.

Splatoon's use of motion controls adds a fresh take on aiming, so when you fire your trusty Splattershot Jr you feel an immense sense of achievement. You've slain an enemy who stood in your way and so you clean up the mess he's made and reclaim the land he once roamed for yourself.

Anyone can take the roller and leave a trail of colour in their path. It takes no skill and only serves to infuriate other players.
