10 Video Games That Failed So Hard They Actually Won

3. RedCard Soccer

Sometimes it's all too much to embrace the beautiful game for what it's supposed to be - FIFA's accurate kits, sponsorship deals, facial-models and general presentation are all well and good. What if you just want to tackle someone by doing a sprinting dropkick, or take a shot with so much power it sends the keeper flying back into the goal along with the ball? Chances are that even though that description is rooted in football, it sounds far more appealing to any who don't follow the sport too. And for good reason, as despite a complete disregard for the sport it was portraying, RedCard was a fantastic foray into the likes of zaney over-animation seen in (now-defunct studio) EA BIG's titles like SSX or Freekstyle. Although it was a total critical flop it naturally got a huge backing from thousands of gamers who had no love for football/soccer in the first place, simply revelling in annoying those that did by learning every facet of RedCard's insanity.
