Like Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA V can be impossible to finish after completing the main story. While not exactly the same as the problems a Red Dead player will encounter, the missable content in GTA only matters depending on which ending the player chooses.

Because Rockstar decided to have not one but three protagonists for the story it came as a surprise when one of these characters, Franklin, is offered the opportunity to kill the others.

Once the mission begins you're presented with three options: A) Kill Trevor, B) Kill Michael, or C) "Deathwish". Picking either A or B will result in losing any unfinished side quests associated with that character.

An entire saga of side stories is dedicated to Michael joining a parody cult called Epsilon that would be wasted with his death. On the other hand, Trevor has multiple Rampages he can go on, concluding in an insane hipster massacre.

Not to mention that choosing C) "Deathwish" is one of the game's most entertaining and satisfying missions, but going around murdering anyone that had double crossed the trio also means you're losing any of their attached missions, too.
