10 Video Games You Just Had To Play Through In One Sitting
5. The Last Of Us
It's understandable if many didn't decide to marathon through Naughty Dog's latest masterpiece, given that it can last anywhere from 12 hours on the shorter end to 20-plus hours if you're taking your time. However, there's a certain appeal to playing The Last of Us in one go, as by the time you reach the end of the line, your feeling of exhaustion will make you more able to empathise with the desperation of Joel and Ellie's quest for survival. The game's emotional intensity and decent level of challenge meant that most of us needed to take a break now and then, and even dedicated players probably spent a weekend blasting through it. However, if you had the mettle and determination to stick it through in one sitting, that feeling of accomplishment as the credits rolled was like nothing else. Some dislike the idea of rinsing through a new game on the day of its release and prefer to instead dole it out in installments, but with a story this gripping and characters this believable, the game's pull to keep playing was undeniable.
