10 Video Games You Just Had To Play Through In One Sitting

3. The Walking Dead: Season One

TellTale Games have carved out a wonderful niche for themselves with their graphical adventure games The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us, and the upcoming Game of Thrones. The first "season" of The Walking Dead consisted of five chapters released throughout 2012, each promising around 1-2 hours of play, as proved to be a popular but also frustrating service model, as the agonising cliffhangers caused many to eventually just wait for the retail version to release at the end of the year. Though the episodic format allows for an easily digestible delivery method which isn't too time consuming, the premise and characters are so gripping that you won't want to wait months to see what happens next. As such, the retail "Season One" version proved to be popular, as players could simply binge the entire season in one fell swoop if they so wished. Much like Heavy Rain, the cinematic approach and limited amount of player input made it an easy game to comfortably blast through on a lazy weekend day. Season Two is currently mid-way through its episodic release, though the pain of having to likely wait until the end of the year for the retail version may simply be too much for some.
