10 Video Games Netflix Could Adapt After The Witcher
5. L.A. Noire
Rockstar's underrated L.A Noire is one of the most cinematic video games of all time. It's story is so good and characters so juicy that a TV series would make for incredibly compelling viewing.
Cole Phelps is a World War II hero, who joins the L.A.P.D as a beat cop. Phelps has ambitions of quickly rising the ranks and does so with his tireless detective skills. That and his seemingly goody-two-shoes attitude makes Cole an enemy of all his peers. Cole's life then turns upside down and his only saving grace may be catching a serial killer to redeem his name.
It's a brilliant story of seedy Hollywood corruption that dips its toe in cliche, but never goes off the deep end. And what makes L.A Noire perfect for a TV series is its 40's aesthetic and an open world that isn't chock full of things to do.
You might be wondering though, why not Grand Theft Auto? Why not Red Dead Redemption? Well, both of those games are incredibly reliant on their open-worlds for storytelling, meaning the transition to anything other than games would be tricky.
Of the two, Red Dead is far more suited to an adaption, but neither as fitting as L.A Noire.
