5. Killzone: Shadow Fall
Possibly one of the greatest Playstation opening exclusives the world has seen, Killzone: Shadow Fall is the current game to beat in terms of next-generation console technology that fully harnesses the Playstation 4's power in terms of the visuals. Its ability to render entire cities, individually moving parts across the entire game area for ships, people, machines and more is utterly phenomenal. Even the polygon count on the player models and NPCs is just staggeringly high. The awe of this game doesn't stop there with highly detailed explosions, accurate textures across all surfaces and modern-day required JJ Abrams-style lens flares. Not much else can be said of this visual masterpiece whose purpose is to clearly show off the Playstation 4's latest performance capabilities, but also whose purpose is to make us drool as we slowly get immersed into this veritable future-deathmatch dream.
