6. World Of Warcraft
Any list detailing games that have rid players of their down time would seem incomplete if it didn't include the massively multiplayer online role-playing game (or MMORPG for short) that turned into an international & cultural phenomenon. For anyone who's even casually dipped their toe into the pool of WoW knows, time is not something to be conserved when entering its online world of mythical creatures and fantasy beings. With an estimated seven million subscribers as of July 2013, the freedom of exploration and interactivity with other players has captivated the both the gaming world and pop culture world in general, with board games, comics, celebrity advertisements popping up, parodies & references on South Park and numerous film and TV projects, and even the occasional political endorsement.
