10 Video Games Sega Should Be Releasing Instead Of Sonic

8. Crazy Taxi 4

A game where you play as a taxi driver doesn't sound like any fun at all, but when you put the word 'crazy' in front of taxi, fun things do indeed happen. Crazy Taxi was just one example of how insanely addictive a simple premise and arcade gameplay could be, and even today if you still own an original copy of the game, then you're one very lucky individual. The title was re-released on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 several years ago to little fanfare and positive critical reception, with one of the biggest criticisms being levelled at the absence of the original soundtrack present in the Dreamcast version. It's features may feel rather lacking in a world where giant, sprawling sandbox games exist, but the appeal of arcade titles hasn't gone away, and all a new release would need to keep it relevant is a dollop of varied locations and customisation options.
