10 Video Games Sega Should Be Releasing Instead Of Sonic
9. Vectorman 3
With the Earth polluted and neglected beyond repair, mankind has rocketed off of Earth, leaving an army of 'Orbots' to clean up the mess they've left behind. Once such Orbot subsequently goes insane after attaching itself to a nuclear missile, and declares itself the ruler of Earth with a penchant for killing humans if they ever return to the dump of a planet. So begins the story of Vectorman, another Orbot who makes it his mission to destroy the evil Raster, and go back to his business of giving Earth a bit of a tidy up. Why such industrial robots have their own laser cannons and rocket boosters is anyone's guess, but internal logic doesn't really matter: Vectorman is one of the best platformers ever released for the Mega Drive. The first game spawned an equally accomplished sequel, and while there were originally plans for a third game, Sega decided to pull the plug on production before it ever materialised.
