1. Star Wars Trilogy Arcade (1998)
If you stumble upon this in an arcade (especially the full theatre cabinet), take a seat and put your money in immediately as you're about play not only one of the best Star Wars games, but one of the best arcade games ever made.
Rogue Squadron does a great job of making you feel like a skilled pilot as you bullseye womp rats in your T-16, but its Star Wars Arcade's hardware and peripherals that allows it to be more than a sci-fi skinned on-rails shooter, and plonks in the cockpit of some of the most iconic battles from the Star Wars universe, defending the siege on Hoth and fighting in the Battle of Endor.
Beyond the mesmerising battles in space, the game also features periodic blaster shoot-outs and Jedi battles against the bounty hunter Boba Fett and the asthmatic dark lord himself, James Earl Vader.
