6. Days Gone 2
Days Gone is like a dog that hasn't been brushed for a while - scruffy, rough round the edges, but still, underneath, inherently lovable if you give it the time of day.
When it first released, Days Gone was met with casual indifference and got a bit of a drubbing from the critics. As such, it didn't really set the world on fire; instead, Days Gone sold reasonably well, has its fans, but in the eyes of Sony, it wasn't considered a massive success.
The end of Days Gone leaves it wide open for a sequel, and developers Sony Bend were definitely planning to make one. Unfortunately it wasn't greenlit, and instead Sony Bend was tasked with helping Naughty Dog on their projects, and is heavily rumoured to be working on a new IP.
This is a real shame as a sequel could easily iron out a few of the problems of the original, and deliver a more streamlined, memorable and overall more enjoyable game than the first one was. That's not to say the first one wasn't enjoyable at all! In fact, despite being a bit lengthy, it's got a lot to see and do, some cool mechanics, and when you're strong enough to take on a Freaker horde, it's one of the tensest moments you'll find in gaming.
We aren't the only ones clamouring for a sequel to Days Gone either; as of writing, a Change.org petition asking Sony to reconsider on their decision to not make Days Gone 2 has over 138,000 signatures on it!
