The Game: The Simpsons: Road Rage is a 2001 game that's based on the hit TV show that literally everyone has heard of. It tasks the player with driving around, picking up citizens, and taking them wherever they need to go. It's like you're a taxi driver or something.

The Game It Ripped Off: Crazy Taxi.

Sega's Crazy Taxi featured the exact same premise but was released two years earlier. It was also much better than its clone, which was criticized for being a lackluster version of Sega's title.

The similarities were so apparent that Sega filed a lawsuit against Fox, EA, and Radical Entertainment (Road Rage's developers) in 2003. Sega claimed that Road Rage was a patent infringement of Crazy Taxi. Seeing as most of Road Rage's reviewers even commented on the similarities, Fox didn't have much of a defense. The case was settled privately for an undisclosed amount.
