10 Video Games That Could Secretly Dominate 2019
9. Dreams
It's safe to say that Dreams hasn't had the most graceful of development cycles. Initially meant to release in 2016, Media Molecule's next big project has been delayed numerous times and, despite declaring the presence of a beta, has pretty much disappeared off the face of the earth when it comes to meaningful updates.
However, when (or perhaps a better question, if) the game debuts this year, it has the means to be one of the most interesting releases in Sony's lineup. Serving as a creative hub for players to develop their own levels, worlds and experiences, Dreams aims to provide gamers with a set of tools that allows them to embrace and share their own creativity. Much like Little Big Planet did over a decade ago, Dreams has the potential to develop a thriving community that'll create content for years to come.
While Media Molecule's first priority should be to get the game out, there's a lot of promise to Dreams' interactive creation suite. It provides PlayStation with a creative experience that feels unique to the system and, while people aren't discussing it just yet, could develop a passionate following when it eventually releases.
