7. Shadowrun: Dragonfall

Shadowrun, for those unaware, is the other big cyberpunk tabletop RPGs. I could write out a big exhaustive list of the differences, but I can just say “Shadowrun has magic and orcs and dragons in it”, that’s probably enough. This isn’t to say one setting is better - that’s very much a matter of taste - but it’s generally accepted that the Shadowrun games make better use of their source material, and are also actual RPGs.

There’s actually three of these. Shadowrun Returns, Shadowrun: Dragonfall, and Shadowrun: Hong Kong, in respective release order. I’ve gone with Dragonfall since it's considered to have the best story of the three, although Shadowrun Returns is a great place to start if you want to experience the game that kicked off the big Kickstarter CRPG resurgence that eventually gave us Divinity: Original Sin.
