2. Roger Rall - Guild Wars 2

Roger “oldroar” Rall was a well known and very prevalent player of the original Guild Wars, however he passed away before Guild Wars 2 was released despite him stating how keen he was to play it. His friends wanted to make sure that devs ArenaNet knew of his passion for their projects, sending them letters detailing his love of the games.

In response, ArenaNet honored him in two ways:

First, they created a server that was called Sanctum of Rall, and then they followed up by adding the legacy of Rall Oldroar, that players could learn about via an NPC historian.

They would tell the tale of a tribune who’s leadership and wisdom were rival to none and who passed into the mists as a veteran warrior.
