10 Video Games That Killed Off The Wrong Character

9. Revan - Star Wars: The Old Republic

With the revelation that Star Wars may be working on some sort of new Knights of the Old Republic game/show/movie fans are understandably divided. Especially after the recent direction Star Wars has been going in.

In The Old Republic, Revan is back, except he really isn't. One of the most popular Star Wars characters of all time re-enters the franchise just to be beaten in a single flashpoint (The Old Republic's version of a raid or dungeon).

Then Shadow of Revan came out and most assumed it would be another chance for Revan to really shine. Turned out, the expansion was just one long slog through ever increasingly insulting missions, just to put the old legend out of his misery.

Again.

The simple solution would have been not to kill him in the first place.

Instead, the player base was left with the likes of Theron Shan and Koth Vortena, two of the worst characters currently still alive in The Old Republic's ever diminishing lifespan. Don't just throw some random guys on screen and try to act like the player's level seventy characters should care after countless hours of grinding without them.
