A game whose initial footage had characters yelling they were about to "kill your dick", or referred to companions as "dicktits" was only ever going to go one of two ways.

Sadly, its own brand of 'attitude' was like some corporate reaction to memes and social media, and you can envision teams of executives throwing together random nouns and exclaiming "Random is funny, right?! That's what the kids are into?... Let's break for lunch" before flying off on their money-fuelled jetpacks.

And that was a real shame, because Bulletstorm was fun. Big, dumb, self-aware ridiculous fun. By combining a bunch of abilities, you could kill guys by lobbing a hotdog cart at them, only for "Sausage Fest!" to pop up.
