10 Video Games That KNEW You'd Try To Cheat

4. The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time - Spoilt Mushroom

Batman Arkham Asylum
Nintendo

One of the quest items in perennial classic The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time is called Odd Mushroom, given to Link by Grog in the Lost Woods area of the game.

Too lazy to do it himself, he'll ask you to deliver said mushroom to the potion shop in Kakariko Village, and Link, being a super nice guy, will happily oblige. He'll have to move quickly because the mushroom will spoil in a matter of minutes, but you - the person behind the controller - may not have the patience for such a mundane task.

In fact, you might even try to speed the quest up by using a warp song in an attempt to cheat the timer, but doing so won't lead to success - quite the opposite. Try to finish the mission in this fashion and the mushroom will instantly spoil, meaning the only way for you to complete it is... to do it legitimately. Boooo.
