10 Video Games That Let You Be An Utter Scumbag
9. Postal 2
On the flip side, here's a game that has no qualms about admitting that its protagonist is utter human waste - and in fact, it plainly relishes the fact. Darkly satirical FPS Postal 2 is one of the most controversial games ever made, and for damn good reason.
To be fair, the majority of the game's tasks are relatively simple and benign, and the player can even tackle most of them non-violently.
However, you'll soon find yourself encountering countless irritating and obnoxious figures throughout its dystopian hellhole of an overworld (ironically called Paradise), prompting you to mete out some bloody mayhem.
The Postal Dude has a vast array of weaponry at his disposal, allowing him to shoot, bludgeon, explode and dismember NPCs, before urinating on their corpses, naturally.
You can also murder animals, shove a cat anus-first onto your gun to use it as a silencer, and even kill late actor Gary Coleman.
Again, you can play most of Postal 2 peacefully, but where's the fun in that? This is pure, grotty wish fulfilment at its most morally debased, while lacking the polished veil of artistry of, say, the Grand Theft Auto series (which we'll get to later).
