10 Video Games That Let You Be TOO Powerful

1. Saints Row IV

Could it really be anything else?

Despite its more humble beginnings as a GTA-clone, the Saints Row series quickly flung itself off the rails and nestled itself in the deepest depths of absurdity; and was all the better for it.

Nowhere is this more evident than in Saints Row IV in which your character is not only the president of the united states; but a crime-lord, government spec-ops soldier AND a fully-fledged superhero.

That alone makes this game worthy of topping this list, yet the fun doesn’t stop there kids. The plethora of superpowers at your disposal from mind-melting telekinesis to dishing out fatal doses of dubstep exist to make you feel truly invincible. The game even says ‘sod it’ to its own driving mechanics and lets you fly around at your leisure. The sense of freedom is truly intoxicating but it does mean that the entire game becomes a borderline grotesque display of your god-like powers.

You could argue that the unlimited power is part of the joke, but when all is said and done, this game is an absolute cakewalk due to the frankly ludicrous amount of power you’re granted from the get-go.
