10 Video Games That Let You Be TOO Powerful

3. Prototype Series

A cult favourite from the seventh generation of consoles, the short-lived Prototype series was a glorious display of gore and ultra-violence that remains satisfying to this day.

Putting players in the shoes of man-mutant Alex Mercer, a shape-shifting uber-weapon with a temper problem, you can traverse a vast open world, causing bloody mayhem wherever you go.

Whilst your powers start off relatively tame (with the odd sharp appendage here and insanely large set of claws there), you're soon given an insane roster of abilities that make you a walking tornado of destruction. Each of your limbs will transform into giant blades, shields and all manner of razor-sharp monstrosities that are tailor made to tear through flesh.

Aside from all the pointy-limb shenanigans, you can also take the form of any passerby to evade capture, as well as consume any random person you see to regain health. Meaning the entire city is an all-you-can-eat buffet to keep you chugging along amidst all the carnage.

By the end game, you're basically indestructible and no matter what onslaught the military throws at you, all will be consumed by your ever-changing mass.
