10 Video Games That Let You DESTROY The Final Boss

Cheesing these video game bosses was no problem.

After investing a significant amount of time and effort into a video game, players expect the finale to be deeply satisfying. To offer the greatest sense of accomplishment possible, it makes sense for the last adversary to pose the biggest challenge.

But what if they didn't? What if there was an easier way to vanquish a so-called "rock-hard" boss? By using a specific strategy, it's possible to wipe the floor with enemies that would normally stop players' progress dead.

Shao Kahn from Mortal Kombat is reviled for his cheap attacks, but he can be effortlessly defeated, thanks to a simple glitch. Ganondorf from Tears of the Kingdom's may be a nightmare to fight, but it's a different story if Link has upgraded his gear. And when it comes to the Final Fantasy franchise, the antagonist can be a walk in the park if the heroes are equipped with the right spells and weapons.

Even though the bosses on this list are infamously difficult, they can be ground to dust without breaking a sweat. Using these tactics, these bosses weren't just beaten, they were obliterated.

10. Erich Rhoemer - Syphon Filter

Syphon Filter is an underrated PlayStation title that offers elaborate missions, catchy music, and immersive shootouts. Even though this stealth shooter presented a solid challenge, the difficulty curve spiked dramatically during the final mission.

This missile silo is overrun with Erich Rhoemer's goons, who are eager to fill our heroic field agent, Gabriel Logan, with lead. Due to the limited checkpoints, players are expected to go through this infuriating level over and over.

After reaching the final room, Logan must go head-to-head with Rhoemer himself. This guy is a damage-sponge, allowing him to shuffle off headshots like there's no tomorrow. Because he's armed with a grenade launcher, Rhoemer can kill Logan with a single blast.

Fortunately, there's an easier way to fight Rhoemer. In fact, Logan doesn't have to fight him at all. Before reaching the master terrorist, Logan can pick up a gas grenade from one of Rhoemer's lackeys. After that, all Logan has to do is lob the bomb at Rhoemer to put him down for good.

Better still, the player doesn't have to be accurate. If the gas grenade is hurled anywhere near Rhoemer, he'll drop dead instantly.
