10 Video Games That Make You Realise How Greedy The Industry Has Become
1. Literally Everything About Fallout 76
Potentially the
biggest mistake in gaming history – yes even more so than E.T on NES – Fallout
76 was Bethesda’s answer to fans of the series hoping for a multiplayer
instalment of the expansive and much loved world of Fallout.
When Bethesda announced Fallout 76 opinions were mixed as it was to use the same buggy engine that Fallout 4 ran on. Putting that aside fans were excited and to entice the hard-core ones they revealed a Power Armour edition of the game that contained a helmet, bag and some other nifty things!
It looks like the company never learns though as fans were left massively let down when they received their £150 collection; the bag was advertised as being a high quality material but what gamer's got instead was a very cheap bag made with poor materials.
Bethesda handled this very poorly and instead of offering to replace the bag with what they had originally promised they laughably gave fans £5 worth of in-game currency. The game also remained in a poor condition.
They eventually rectified their error by delivering the high quality bags but the damage was done. It's safe to say that this was the straw that broke the camel’s back for the company.
