8. GTA Online Introducing Shark Cards BEFORE Heists

When it released back in late 2013, Grand Theft Auto V was the promising sequel to the highly successful Grand Theft Auto series everyone was hoping for.

One of the newest and most sought after activities in the latest instalment were heists. The promise of creating absolute carnage and making big money with your mates was all too appetising, but that before the game initially shipped without the feature in multiplayer.

Whilst it was being put together, Rockstar decided to roll out “Shark Cards”, which were a form of in-game currency that players could purchase with real money. The price ranges from about £3 - £55. This wouldn’t have been an issue since they were optional to buy, but the player was given very little ways to make substantial money through ordinary gameplay.

The gamer essentially felt like no other option was given other than purchasing the cards, or spending hours grinding for little payoff.

After a long wait however, heists were finally patched in, and this seemed to make the fanbase happy for the most part.

Gaming is my thing but I do also like film and TV. If there is a game worth playing - or sometimes not - I'll be on it!
