Most multiplayer games these days tend to prioritise battle royale game modes over everything else, in the hope of copying Fornite’s success.

But it was around this time of the battle royale boom that Crytek, the developers behind the Crysis series, decided to make something new out of it. Originally believed to be a new form of battle royale, Hunt: Showdown became a PvPvE game, where multiple teams of players fight against each other and numerous AI threats in order to hunt down and claim a bounty on a particular creature.

The games spooky atmosphere and excellent sound design help heighten the tension created when you finally do spot an enemy team, but debate whether or not to engage, as it could bring unwanted attention your way.

Does not seem like it would be much of a stretch to try put a Star Wars spin on this concept. Multiple teams of bounty hunters fighting each other while searching for their target? Sounds Like it would be a great excuse to make a game including all the different bounty hunters of the Star Wars universe. Cad Bane? Bossk? Embo? Aurra Sing? Fett?
