10 Video Games That Nearly Killed You

2. Dark Souls

It€™s not all retro, people who say gamers have it easy these days should be abducted late at night, sealed in a small room and told €œif you want to see your family again, you have to finish Dark Souls.€ It€™s an incredible series that want you to feel like you€™ve achieved something at the end of the day. You€™re not going to rock up, bash through a level, monotonously get through the boss and have an early night, your palms will be sweaty from stress, your eyes will hurt from a lack of sleep, and you will pray for death by the end. The game won€™t help you out either. It will drop you in the world, not tell you where to go and leave you slowly figuring out there are numerable ways of killing and surviving and when you€™re getting to grips with the very basics, it will then throw bosses at you that feel like they€™ve been pulled into the world from a dimension where they breathe acid and eat pain. These often-hulking monstrosities will break down the person you were and leave a quivering shell haunted by the things you€™ve done. Dark Souls isn€™t a game, it€™s a life choice.
