10 Video Games That Only Got Started At The End
6. The Light Suit - Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Though critics tripped over themselves to praise Metroid Prime 2 at the time of its release, fan response has proven decidedly more mixed in the 15+ years since its release.
Beyond common complaints about the game's difficulty, many have taken issue with its oppressively dull, overfamiliar environments, and also its tendency to turn exploration into a repetitious, time-consuming chore - even for the standards of a card-carrying Metroidvania title.
It's such an exhausting feat making it to the later stages that you'd be forgiven for tapping out long before Samus gains possession of the Light Suit in the final two hours of the game.
But the suit changes everything, making you impervious to the poisonous atmosphere of Dark Aether, while also allowing you to travel throughout Aether using the Luminoth energy transport system.
The Light Suit does away with two chief complaints players had about the game - its difficulty and its busy-work - albeit only shortly before Samus faces off against the game's final boss, the Emperor Ing.
