3. Juggernaut Suits - Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

It's safe to say that by the time Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 hit stores, the franchise was deep into a familiar groove for its campaigns: over-the-top set-pieces, occasional shock imagery, and more ridiculous macho melodrama than your average episode of WWE Raw.

To be clear, Modern Warfare 3's campaign isn't bad by any means: it's totally functional and fine as a brainless shooter, but ultimately lacks the inspiration or creativity to be anything more than Just Another CoD Campaign.

Except for its final level, of course, where the player controls Captain Price inside a gigantic Juggernaut power armour suit, teaming up with Yuri to wipe the floor with Makarov's mooks in one of the most badass moments in the franchise.

The armour doesn't last, of course, but barely a few moments pass before you're able to catch up with Makarov, strangle him to death, and then light up a celebratory cigar.

It was certainly a fitting conclusion to the Modern Warfare trilogy, but all in all, the rest of the game was so utterly ordinary and pedestrian by comparison.
