10 Video Games That Only Got Started At The End
2. Charon & Persephone - God Of War: Chains Of Olympus
Chains of Olympus was a spin-off to the main God of War franchise originally released for the PSP before later being ported to the PS3.
As per the limitations of the PSP's hardware, the game felt "lesser" than its console counterparts in pretty much every way, with repetitive combat, hilariously easy puzzles, a watered-down sense of scale, and a mere four-hour playtime.
It was an acceptably breezy handheld romp if you didn't pay much to play it, but largely lacked the epic feel that fans of the series absolutely expected.
It didn't help that the small batch of bosses didn't get interesting until the final hour of the game, when Kratos has a slugfest of a rematch with Charon and, finally, takes on Persephone.
The final segment of the game is really the only part that gets close to matching the face-melting quality of mainline God of War, and even then, this is really the standard that the game should've started at and built from.
