10 Video Games That Prove The Wii U Is Far From Doomed

1. The Legend Of Zelda Wii U

If there's one game that proves the Wii U isn't doomed, it's The Legend Of Zelda. Games in the series have always used Nintendo's technology very intelligently (Ocarina Of Time's analog controls and Z-targeting, Skyward Sword's excellent motion controls) and for that reason we can't wait to see how it makes use of the Gamepad. Just one tantalising trailer and a few gameplay details were enough to drive the gaming world into a frenzy at E3 this year. Zelda overlord Eiji Aonuma has stated that he'd like Zelda Wii U to break away from the conventions of the series and give more freedom to the player. We've already seen hints of this in last year's A Link Between World's on the 3DS, which gave the player the option of choosing which order they tackled dungeons in. The little details we know about Zelda Wii U takes this concept a little further, with Aonuma teasing that there'll be multiple entry points for both towns and dungeons and that you'll be able to go to anywhere you can see in the game if you walk far enough. The art style in Zelda Wii U looks like it's somewhere inbetween Wind Waker and Skyward Sword. It looks beautiful and just like Xenoblade Chronicles X it has an impressive draw distance. It goes to show that just like the Wii, Wii U is capable of producing beautiful games when it's in the right hands. Details are scarce right now, but we can't wait to learn more about this game. Nintendo has teased us brilliantly and made our minds wander. All we know for sure is that 2015 can't come soon enough. Which Wii U game are you looking forward to the most and what do you think of Wii U? Do you think it's worth saving? Let us know in the comments.

When I'm not playing games, I'm probably either writing about them somewhere or singing stupid songs inspired by them. Or eating pizza.
