10 Video Games That Prove The Wii U Is Far From Doomed
10. Starfox Wii U
It's hard to believe that 2005's Starfox Assault was the last we saw Fox and his merry gang (and the endlessly sarcastic and grumpy Falco) jump into their Arwing's and shoot the hell out of some aliens on consoles. Fans of the series have been begging for a revival for quite some time, and in 2015 they will get their wish. The project is being led by Mario and Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto. Details are scarce at this point, but what we do know is that the Gamepad will offer a cockpit view while the TV will display a more traditional Starfox viewpoint from behind the ship. Miyamoto is currently toying with control schemes, but one idea he's come up with is to move with the analog stick and aim by tiling the Gamepad. When combined with the cockpit view on the Gamepad's screen, this approach could work. Then again, it could be clunky as hell and at least having the option to use the second analog stick would be nice. Nintendo's actively seeking to team up with another developer on the project so that they can release it in 2015. We think that both Retro and Platinum Games would do an amazing job. Let's hope that they steer clear of Namco, as they were behind Starfox Assault and playing that was like watching paint dry, but in space.
