10 Video Games That REALLY Should've Been Cancelled
9. Turok

Turok: Dinosaur Hunter centres around a time-travelling Native American who faces off against aliens and cybernetic dinosaurs. As stupid as the premise sounds, the cosmic shooter kicked off a thrilling and successful series.
But after the brand suffered a drop in quality and Acclaim filed for bankruptcy in 2004, it looked like the dino-shooting saga was rendered extinct.
Fortunately, there was light at the end of the tunnel. The following year, a new studio called Propaganda Games acquired the rights for the property, allowing them to work on a Turok reboot. Set to be the first chapter in a new trilogy, the project looked like it would reinvigorate the beloved franchise.
Unfortunately, 2008's Turok was anything but a return to form. Although the graphics were impressive, it didn't make up for the fittingly prehistoric level design, lack of save points, infuriating bosses, inconsistent aim-assist, and constant freezing.
Even though Propaganda Games hoped to make a name for themselves with their debut title, Turok was their undoing. Despite just starting in the gaming industry, Turok ended the promising company and once-popular IP in one fell swoop.
