10 Video Games That Reward You For Being Evil

6. Destroy All Humans!

For those who missed the original 2005 release, 2020's Destroy All Humans remake is just as much of a blast to play as it was back then. The game puts you in control of an alien, Crypto, who beams down to Earth with one simple objective in mind: demolish absolutely everything in sight.

Just in case the title didn't give it away, Destroy All Humans turns you into an out-and-out villain - at least, from humanity's perspective - asking you to show no mercy as you blast your way through the Earth's residents. The hilarious opening mission has you slaughtering a field of cows by flinging them around with telekinesis, and before long, you'll be murdering humans and pulling out their brain stems, all to support your extra-terrestrial cause.

Arguably the best missions in the game ramp up the destruction to an insane degree, letting you pilot a spaceship - kitted out with a range of unstoppable weapons - to blow up entire blocks of buildings, cars, and any humans unlucky enough to be caught in the way.

In Destroy All Humans' wacky world, being evil is a reward unto itself - the gameplay is so enjoyable that you won't even feel bad about dooming humanity.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
