10 Video Games That Survived Embarrassing Launches

7. Street Fighter V

No Mans Sky
Capcom

Street Fighter has a long and prestigious heritage as one of the top fighting games series, alongside Mortal Kombat and Tekken, with a massive catalogue of titles.

When it comes to launches, it suffered a massive backlash with V. After the furore over Street Fighter X Tekken's paid unlockable characters already being on disc, you'd have thought Capcom would have done better with the next main series entry.

It wasn't to be, as it was rushed out in time for the esports competitive season, with minimal content and fans feeling robbed for paying full price.

But, much like its previous main entry, we're now on the Arcade version. A fleshed out roster, more competitive modes and content, making this a worthy Street Fighter title once more. Whilst it is annoying to have to pay out for season passes/character packs, there's no denying that as a beat 'em up, Street Fighter is back on top form.
