Most of the games in Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell series have been incredible hits, and the fifth one is no exception. Splinter Cell: Conviction was released in 2010, letting players once again take control of black ops agent Sam Fisher, this time with a higher focus on action.

One of the biggest complaints gamers had about the title was that it only contained 11 story missions. None of those missions took a great deal of time to complete, and for those who played the story mode in co-op with a buddy, the game was even shorter. Seeing as the game was in development for the better part of four years, the devs could have added more content to make it last longer.

If a player sat down and attempted to play just the main story for the game without getting distracted by anything else, they would be sitting for seven and a half hours before hitting credits.

Adding all of the extras only takes the player to the 12-hour-mark, which is nothing when compared to other games with the Tom Clancy label. The Division averaged nearly 22 hours for the main story while its sequel kicked it up to 25.5 hours. Splinter Cell: Conviction stands as the shortest Tom Clancy game released as a AAA console title - even games for handheld systems averaged several hours longer.
