8. The Dark Souls Series
With the huge ensemble cast of characters, plot twists, and scheming characters in Game of Thrones you would be forgiven if the Dark Souls series would be the last video game that comes to mind.
However, if you’re a fan of medieval dark fantasies, it doesn’t get much dark than the Dark Souls series. While the story and lore in the Souls universe is far more cerebral than one would find in a chapter of Game of Thrones, yet, it’s world is as deep and as rich as that’s in Westeros.
Venturing into the hollow, and post-apocalyptic world in the Souls universe is reminiscent of watching Jon Snow, The Hound, and the Red Priests go past The Wall and into the lands of the White Walkers. Exploring the decaying lands of Lordran could be a foresight into what would happen to Westeros if the White Walkers destroy humanity.
