10 Video Games That Wasted Their Ludicrous Budgets On Terrible Levels

5. Mass Effect €“ Anything Involving The Mako

Mass Effect's intergalactic role playing captured the hearts of many by creating a world that genuinely felt alive. It had its own alien races, new planets to explore and it never pulled a Doctor Who by offering adventures throughout the many galaxies of space but then mainly sticking to Earth and humans. Captain Shepard's pride and joy, the SSV Normandy, is his main ride through the galaxy but to traverse a planet, he uses a smaller land vehicle called the Mako. It's here where everything falls apart; we've managed to spread ourselves across the galaxy but we still can't create reliable ground transportation. The Mako is near impossible to control and likes to regularly get stuck on seemingly nothing. Mako sections also feature enemies too, so you'll get to defend yourself whilst bouncing around like you're on a giant bouncy castle planet. Unfortunately, the Mako's rockets like to miss your target despite it being a seemingly nailed on shot €“ well, they couldn't make it too easy for us, I guess. Thankfully, the Mako sections aren't terribly long but they still outstay their welcome. If I was Commander Shepard, I'd just ask to be dropped at the point we're trying to reach. I'd also have scrapped the useless Mako long ago.

I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
