2. Microtransactions Made Less Outrageous - Halo Infinite

Halo Infinite should've been a home run for 343 Industries. With the game featuring a compelling-looking open world and multiplayer, Infinite looked set to be a return to form for the series after the somewhat divisive Halo 5: Guardians.

Sadly, that did not prove to be the case. As far as Halo Infinite's multiplayer was concerned, the Battle Pass was incredibly sluggish to level up - making microtransactions more attractive to players. However, many players couldn't get onboard with the microtransactions thanks to how highly they were priced. To purchase all of the 88 cosmetic bundles in Halo Infinite, customers had to spend $1,035. That's a thousand real bucks for virtual... stuff.

Also, that was just for the Season 1 items. Not only that, these items would disappear after a set time, urging players to panic and compulsively buy everything.

Following player backlash, 343 Industries completely restructured the store before Halo Infinite was officially released.
