10 Video Games Where You Should IGNORE The Main Story
4. Fallout: New Vegas
The Fallout series has always boasted a plethora of side quests and storylines to go along with the overarcing narrative, but the fourth installment inches above the rest for one or two reasons.
The first is simple: Vegas, baby.
Yes, it may have been somewhat decimated by the nuclear apocalypse, but the spirit of Las Vegas is alive and well in the imaginatively named New Vegas, even down to its themed casinos.
You can while away the time playing roulette, blackjack or slots, or you can just chill and listen to the acts in the Tops' lounge.
The other reason that it's worth ignoring the main story is that there are so many other exciting ways to explore the Mojave Wasteland. Yes, most of what you do is done with the game's endpoint in mind, but there are so many possible facets to it that you'll find yourself having done several playthroughs before you've ever watched the final cutscene.
All of the Fallout games are packed with content, but New Vegas takes the cake, almost solely due to its gambling opportunities.
