Seeing as Skyrim allows you to make different choices, it might seem pointless to try and judge the morality of the game's protagonist, Dragonborn. Most Skyrim players are too busy placing buckets over merchants' heads to worry about things like morality anyway.

However, since each Elder Scrolls game follows some kind of canonical continuity, as is the case with the events of Oblivion's Shivering Isles DLC carrying over to Skyrim, there is a canonical depiction of what the Dragonborn ought to be.

And let's just say it isn't pretty.

Although they are certainly the hero who saves the world from Alduin, the dark truth about the Dragonborn is that they, well, are born with a dragon's soul, which in the Elder Scrolls universe is inherently corrupted by an insatiable lust for power and ludicrous levels of arrogance.

In the game, this is manifested by the fact that most questlines have the Dragonborn assume the position of power, which implies that just like their predecessors, including Tiber Septim himself, the Dragonborn has a deep and undeniable urge to conquer and dominate.

Not to mention, they really like to Fus Ro Dah random citizens on the street. Or maybe that's just the players' doing again?
