10 Video Games With INSANELY Low Completion Rates

2. Nioh - 17.36%

Red Dead Redemption 2
Team Ninja

When Nioh was released in 2017, it drew a wide audience and good reviews for its tight combat and unique build options, where each weapon was essentially its own class. One of the most successful "Souls like" games, it sold two and a half million copies across the globe.

The player controls William Adams, a man that existed in real life and was one of the very few Westerners who ever achieved the rank of Samurai. Featuring the tough but fair combat style of Dark Souls and a loot system that the developers credited to the series Diablo, it was a hybrid of sorts that managed to carve a niche out for itself in the market.

Perhaps because of the complicated systems of gameplay or maybe due to the loot collection, there seem to be less than one fifth of the playerbase that have soldiered on long enough to achieve the trophy for completing each of the games missions.

When the sequel, Nioh 2 was released in March of this year it saw similar high praise and has already surpassed the one million units sold mark.
