Deus Ex: Human Revolution allowed players to play as pacifists in large parts, but you still had to use lethal force against certain boss characters. The game's sequel, Mankind Divided, made total pacifist playthroughs possible, allowing you to go all the way through the game without ever needing to rely on firearms or Adam Jensen's retractible blades.

Even the final boss of the game can be defeated with non-lethal force, and players had plenty of options to talk characters down or use weapons like the tranquilliser darts and stun gun, in combination with their augmented abilities, to diffuse conflicts without any bloodshed.

Many fans of the series argue that the pacifist way is the best way to enjoy these games. Pacifist runs allow players to use logic and intelligence to solve problems, rather than blasting their way through every encounter, so if you want to see the full benefits of going Gandhi on a video game, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is a good place to start.
