10 Video Games You Can Finish Without Killing A Single Enemy
5. Dishonored
Not only are pacifist runs possible in Dishonored, they're encouraged. The game rewards players for choosing non-lethal options, sneaking their way through the streets of Dunwall and using their various acrobatic and supernatural abilities to bypass enemies or take them out without using guns and swords. In fact, the only way to get the best ending in the game is to play as a pacifist.
Part of the brilliance of Dishonored's design is how the game adapts to the way you play it. The game's Chaos system is actually influenced by whether you choose to be violent or non-violent in your approach to each mission. If you run around slaughtering dozens of guards, the game will respond by adding more enemies into later levels.
Essentially, this means that if you play a pacifist run, Dishonored actually becomes easier. Many of the game's levels involve assassinations, but even your primary targets can all be defeated or dealt with in non-lethal ways, sometimes involving additional side quests that help to extend your enjoyment of the game.
