6. Burnout/SSX

It's not totally clear whether the snowy slopes of SSX and the petrol-soaked streets of Paradise City are within the same area code, but they at least pick up the same radio frequencies. DJ Atomika, the on-piste mouthpiece of Radio Big, the primary station in EA's cold sports extravaganza, also lends his gift of the gab to Burnout's local radio channel Crash FM.

Coincidence? Not hardly; at one point in Burnout Paradise, the disk jockey relays a message for SSX boarder Mac Feeley, noting that snow is falling on White Mountain - and should make perfect riding conditions come winter.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
