10 Video Games You Didn't Know Were Hidden In Other Games

10. Call Of Duty: Black Ops - Zork

Could there be a more curious combination? So unexpected that to some it may sound like a hoax - to hear that Call Of Duty: Black Ops, another high-impact bloodbath shooter in the long-running franchise, contains the veteran text adventure Zork in its entirety. But it's no joke - bust out of those restraints on the menu screen, do a bit of exploring and some old fashioned DOS-like command prompt magic, and you're treated to this esteemed classic. Today the concept of text based adventure seems absurd. Back then at the dawn of the role playing era Zork was considered a masterstroke of creative interactive storytelling. Yes, it's just words on a screen prompting pretty basic text inputs, but structured in a way that conjured a detailed game world in your mind's eye. You have to wonder how many gamers bothered to complete this hidden treasure within Treyarch's acclaimed shooter, but it's still a nifty little extra to add to the already fantastic core game. Oh, and why Zork? Because Activision bought the rights to the brand back in 1987.
