After EA shut down the servers for Command & Conquer and Mercenaries 2 last November, you'd think they would take a breather. Instead, their war path continued into the new year. Within the first month, EA removed online functions for several games, most notably Mirror's Edge.

In this first-person platformer, you play as a parkour courier. (This game came out when parkour was still a thing.) Throughout your missions, you must flip, zip-line, and wall-jump around the city to evade government officials and pass on important messages to clients.

Although critics weren't sure what to make of Mirror's Edge at the time, it developed a huge fanbase over time. In fact, it became such a cult-classic, gamers have taken part in the online time trials for nearly 15 years. Not only can you compete with other players' times, you can download their Ghost, so you can see the path they took, which can teach you new methods to improve your record.

Despite how limited these online options were, Mirror's Edge's time trials meant a lot to players, since it was active right up until the servers were put to rest. It's sad to say goodbye, but Mirror's Edge had a better run than most.
