10 Video Games You Have To Punish Yourself To Play
8. Darkest Dungeon
Darkest Dungeon is a game that, theoretically, can be very easy - if you know how all the boss fights go, and know what the perfect set up for a team is, and never go into a dungeon without more supplies than you need.
So, in short, it's not going to be, unless you decide to use a guide for the whole thing or otherwise buff your teams by doing just the easiest dungeons repeatedly. Otherwise, you're in for an absolute party: so it's time to strap in.
Because the game is made to kill off your favourite characters, who you've likely spent ages levelling and generally taking care of. If they're not outright dying, they're going insane and ruining the mental stability of your party, increasing your chances of losing not just one team member, but the whole crew.
Add to this bosses capable of some simply wild shenanigans - like putting one of your team in a pot and cooking them alive - and you're in for a rough ride from start to finish. Maybe don't get attached to any of your squad anytime soon.
