One of the most botched falls from grace in the entire history of gaming, Cyberpunk 2077 is still a title that thousands of players still can't let go.

The game's legendary showcase at E3 in 2019 was one of the year's most viral moments and racked up a plethora of awards, and even CD Projekt RED's announcement that the game would be delayed for the better part of a year did little to quell the excitement fans had for Cyberpunk.

However, when the game was eventually let loose to the public in December 2020, what followed was one of the most disappointing and shambolic sagas in recent history. The game was littered with technical bugs that led to thousands of players demanding refunds, the game was pulled from Sony's online stores until a fixed version could be produced, CD Projekt RED's stock fell by over 9%, and there were even a few lawsuits thrown in about the state of the 'finished' product.

Nevertheless, Cyberpunk hasn't been completely killed off yet. Despite all of the controversies, the game has been receiving frequent updates since March 2021, and player counts have begun to steadily rise once again.

There's no denying the world of Cyberpunk is an interesting spectacle, so perhaps this is a good example of there always being the potential for a second chance in the world of gaming.
