10 Video Games You’ll Still Be Playing Long Into 2015
2. Dragon Age: Inquisition
Dragon Age: Inquisition is already being described as a return to form for Bioware (it's the first full game released by the developers since the Mass Effect 3 ending debacle) and from the very first venture into the Hinterlands, it's easy to see why. The number of quests to find and the size of each map is simply daunting. Unlike Dragon Age 2, this is a game that cannot be criticised for a lack of content. Quests are discovered constantly while exploring; the completionists out there are in for a busy time. That immense amount of content is supported by a world which is sure to bring out an adventurous side. Every area is beautifully detailed with a great variety of landscapes and vistas to discover - Inquisition always manages to find a way to surprise and excite. Combat follows the basic principles of being easy to pick-up, difficult to master, largely due to the large numbers of tactical options and abilities. The tactical view (which stops gameplay and allows players to plan moves in advance) is also a welcome touch for those who miss the strategic nature of classic RPGs. Honestly, Dragon Age: Inquisition is so rammed with content and ideas, a whole year might not be long enough to find everything the game has to offer. Welcome back Bioware.
I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
